What you need to know ...
With a digital marketing age being here to stay, there's so much information, knowledge, application ideas that are out there today it's incredibly difficult to keep up with it all.
I remember some of my initial involvement in Internet marketing back in 2000, when I was acquiring leads for my mortgage company.
I was trying to determine systems that will work well together that would be able to take those leads attract them through a predefined process, which returned human interaction into successful business transactions… a win-win for everyone involved.
If there's one thing to be certain, it is that things will change. Some of the systems that I used back then are no longer available. That is why it is incredibly important to have good solid application strategies built into your business, regardless of what software you use.
So don't get stuck...
The platforms that I work with at the moment are Infusionsoft, iMember360, HubSpot, Active Campaign, ActiveMember360, Salesforce.com, WordPress, Joomla!, Shopify, MindBody and WooCommerce, to name a few.
My experience has taught me that regardless of what software application you're in, good solid business practices should be followed in the systems.
No one wants to re-create the wheel, so that's why it's important to have a solid foundation and documentation when it comes to your business practices.
I specialize in helping small businesses to work within their systems of choice, and my systems of expertise.
There are a few key areas of focus where I help small businesses determine the best application strategy to accomplish their needs.
As you look at your CRM, what you see?
Is it just a database full of names and email addresses and telephone numbers?
Is it fully segmented?
Are you would look at it at any given time and see an accurate profile of what your contact has done or has not done in your relationship with a contact?
These are all valid questions when it comes to your CRM.
I help my clients determine naming conventions and metrics that make sense and relationship to their customer data. I help them get and keep their data as clean as possible and fully segmented, so that they know at any given time who is who, where have they been and where are they going.
How often do you email your prospects? How often do you email your customers? is your email marketing list segmented so that you know who your mailing to, what their profile is, and what they are most likely to be interested in?
I work with small businesses to develop robust (not too complex) systems which get the right message and for the right person at the right time. It's well known that your prospect doesn't buy the first contact with your company. It takes an average of seven contacts with your company in order for that prospect to buy with you. The secret is in staying in front of your prospect with a relevant message and relevant timing. You need to keep your company in front of their mind so when they're ready to buy, they are ready to buy with you.
What you trying to sell? How many products do you have? Do you have thousands of products and in need of a shopping cart that is highly searchable and rich in options? Do you have just a few products where you need beautifully designed order forms in order to sell the products?
I work with companies that sell products and services and my experience has taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Most businesses usually use a combination of tools to build out their e-commerce solution. My focus when it comes to e-commerce is to work with a company to help them make the best decision they can possibly make when it comes to the products and services that they are selling in the digital world. I do this looking forward to the future knowing what the potential is for growth within a company and the development of products.
